Humour Cutting Through

When something's funny you remember it right? Zyxel Networks have been around for a long time with impressive products and great customer support. They've thought about all those problems we all have in the office (well, not us, we've got Zyxel kit) and built in solutions to make our lives that bit easier. But its a congested marketplace so how do you make a brand memorable? 

Humour is a great way to land and especially lends itself to the office setting. Bad tech is the bane of our office lives and make SMEs productivity fall through the floor. Wrap those familiar problems up in the guise of musical mischief, personify the problem and the message lands that bit more.

Stills are a large part of any well rounded campaign, so factoring in a specific day to capture the stills required for the campaign was vital. As is finding the right copy and messaging to make its mark. Copywriters from our sister agency answered the brief to enable coherent messaging so wherever the campaign lands it feels like one campaign.

What We Did

For this campaign we worked with Zyxel Networks from the start, understanding how we could build on the success of our previous campaign and what could be learned, retained but also improved. Most importantly how the previous campaign had landed.

We researched again to see how the sector had changed in the last year and set about creative development. We proposed three routes and then refined the idea of how disharmony would manifest and what bringing a network into harmony would look like.

Production took place in Bulgaria through production partner Bazuka films.

Returning to the UK for post production with grade taking place in Bulgaria and the sound design through Echoic in Bristol. Delivering cutdowns and language variants for all of Zyxel's EMEA markets.
