Debbie is an award-winning director who has made work across documentary films, drama and commercials. She received her master’s degree from the Royal College of Art where she studied MA Communication Art & Design.
She was named outstanding new talent to look out for by Shots magazine, with picks of the week in Campaign magazine, and won several awards for her COI anti-knife crime campaign It Doesn’t Have to Happen, two short dramas based on real testimonies.
Debbie has also directed a number of high profile commercial and social issue campaigns with: COI (government social issue campaigns), Samaritans, Samsung, Microsoft, Huawei, Bacardi, Channel 4, Aviva, Boots No7, Sky Arts, TATE, Mind, Citizens UK and more.
She recently completed her debut short drama Three Sacks Full of Hats starring Warren Brown, Tom Meeten, David Sterne and Alison Steadman. A co-production of Century Films and Prodigal and is developing her debut feature We’ll Live and Die In These Towns with writer Geoff Thompson and Century Films and Prodigal with producers Lee Thomas, Jane Nicholson and Executive Producer Brian Hill.
